Quick answer
The Nitro Deck+ Clear Black Edition Bundle is a complete kit for Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED that upgrades your handheld with hall-effect sticks and docked play. Setup is straightforward: connect the Deck, attach the HDMI adapter for TV mode, and pack the gear bag for travel.
What makes the Clear Black Edition bundle different
This bundle pairs the Nitro Deck+ with a transparent black shell that shows off the internal hardware. It includes the HDMI adapter, a padded gear bag, and an 8-pack of stick tops, so you have everything for portable and docked gaming without extra purchases.
Trade-offs to consider
The bundle is priced at USD 100.72 (compared to USD 154.96 separately), saving you money if you plan to use all items. However, if you only need the Deck for handheld play and never dock it, the HDMI adapter and gear bag add bulk you might not use. The stick top pack is useful for personalizing grip but not essential for basic operation.
Setup decision rules
- Handheld-first setup: Slide your Switch or Switch OLED into the Nitro Deck+. The hall-effect sticks and programmable buttons work immediately. No extra cables needed.
- Docked mode with HDMI adapter: Connect the included HDMI adapter to the Deck+ and your TV. The Deck+ supports docked mode, so you can play on the big screen without the original Switch dock. Ensure your TV has an available HDMI port before setting up.
- Stick top customization: The 8-pack of stick tops includes different shapes and textures. Swap them out by pulling off the existing caps and pressing on new ones. No tools required. Test each stick top during gameplay to find the grip that feels best for your thumb placement.
- Packing the gear bag: The Pro Gear Bag is designed to hold the Nitro Deck, NEO, and accessories. Place the Deck+ in the main compartment, the HDMI adapter in a side pocket, and stick tops in the small zippered pouch. The bag fits standard Nintendo Switch consoles, so you can also carry extra games or a power bank.
